10 de Octubre is not a very centric zone, but it's relatively near to Central Havana, furthermore you can find more residential neighborhoods such as La Vibora where there are excellent houses, either for rent and for sale.

General Description of the 10 de Octubre Municipality

The 10 de Octubre municipality is the one with the greater population in respect to the other 14 municipalities of the Havana City province. It has nothing exceptional, is a zone relatively peripheral, nevertheless it has the advantage to be a region quite heterogeneous, with its cathedrals, monuments and sportive centers. Between its districts we also have to mention the Vibora one, a zone with a lot of residential places and houses. If we add to this that 10 de Octubre is only 10 minutes away from the Vedado, that prices of vacations rentals are interesting and those of the houses for sale are ultimately attractive, then we have definitively to take it into account.
