Who Are Us

We are a casas particulares agency in Cuba which aims to make easier the contacts between the home owners and their customers, then incrementing the heterogenous tourism in Cuba.

Here the list of the main participants of the project.

Ionenet SA

Ionenet S.E.N.C. is a Canadian company founded in the year 2001, as a brand of shared responsibility. In the year 2006, it also was registered in Panama, with the Ionenet S.A. trademark, with file number 520531, and document no. 926278 from the Public Registry of Panama, with a beginning social capital of 10,000 USD, but it still has its headquarter in Canada. The reason of Panama registration was a project to divide shares, a project which eventually never took place. The company remained a joint share.

Ionenet SA represents and sponsors the CasasParticulares.net agency from the international point of view, allowing to make an online warranty deposit for the reservations, responding of all these deposits. It also manages the business logic of the agency, directing it, even if the agency executive system acts directly in Cuba, throughout agents whose the main leader is Danil Ren.

Finally, either the agency than the associated project are a Ionenet product, which owns the agency and its rights.

André Durand

He is the president of the agency, whose headquarters are in Canada. He has actively participated in the design and realization of the site by directing all its business logic. He is the head of the casasparticulares.net project.

Danil Ren

Danil Ren collaborates and work in the tourism industry since 2003, as a partner of La Coronación S.A. online incoming traval agency in Cuba until 2010. After the death of Renato Porciatti, president of La Coronación, his successor had different strategies, so Danil quit.

Also, since 2003 Danil is a freelance associate of Ionenet S.A. and has performed several tasks, working on the authorship and development of several websites. Due to his experience in tourism in Cuba, in addition to being a prolific writer, he is also the main representative of casasparticulares.net since 2013. Being the local face of the company, he is directly in charge of managing the reservations, attending the clients and updating the site, besides having participated in the development of this latter as a programmer and designer. He has developed the House Rank algorithm of the homes in order to sort them in the search results in function of their rank and success. Finally, he works with all the representatives in Cuba and coordinates the activities of the agency.

The Technician

In reality, the Technician is not just one person, it includes not only the site's programmers, but also all those who maintain the server where the site is hosted. Here we personify him as the working spirit of the Ionenet company, summarized in one single character, that is, the typical technician-computer guy who solves all the problems and who is always in front of the screen, with his glasses with blue reflections and an expert smile. He never gets tired, is able to work until four in the morning if necessary and always manages to finish a task on time. This character is the portrait of each one of us, therefore he is one of the main actors of the project.

Maikel Muñoz Rojas

Under the direction of André Durand, he has programmed the site together with Danil Ren. He has also been the representative of the province of Holguin, however he has moved abroad since 2014 and no longer works with us.

Susana Esteban

Susana started with us when she was a third year student at the University of Havana. At first she worked as a photographer, as a secretary, performing various tasks. She has also been in charge of the SEO aspects of the site for some time. Today she is mainly involved in public relations and marketing.

Other Collaborators

We have agents and collaborators in most of the provinces of Cuba, where they take care of the interests of our site and our agency, apart from attending the houses and local clients, outside the province of Havana. We do not mention specific names because they are several collaborators that are constantly changing.

Clearly we have not listed the other Ionenet employees who are not related to the agency. Our work is carried out logistically from Canada and actively from Cuba.

Of course, our presence in Cuba allows us to facilitate the communication between clients and owners, ensuring a correct and formal operation through several representatives. The headquarters legally responsible for any problem or claim is Ionenet from Canada, whose details are at the bottom of this page.

Our mission is clearly to be one of the leading agencies for private homes in Cuba, through a site that is both user-friendly and efficient. Our site is available in several languages and works on all devices, including tablets and mobiles, but also big screens.
